Every month Graceland Center thanks the BINGO sponsor by highlighting their services in our newsletter. This month, LaToya Johnson sponsored our BINGO and provided an overview of services through the B'nai B'rith Covenant Apartments of Peoria.
B’nai B’rith is a Federally assisted subsidized housing complex; through HUD ( the Development of Housing and Urban Development). We are section 8/202.
You are eligible if:
The head or co-head is at least 62 years of age and income-eligible.
The head or co-head is mobility impaired, and income eligible.
Households would need to benefit from a mobility-accessible unit.
Features of our mobility accessible units:
cutouts under the sink area
lower cabinet heights,
wide doorways, and
lower peephole height.
Rent is 30% of your adjusted income. (Your annual income minus allowances)
Water, garbage, and electricity are included in the rent. You pay for telephone and cable TV.
Amenities: grocery store, gift shop, medical van, a kitchen that serves breakfast and dinner ( Monday- Friday), trips to Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, Aldi, Dollar Tree, Rabers, and Haddad.
We have 1- and 2-bedroom units.
