The YMCA in Macomb, Illinois provides services to older adults residing in McDonough County. Their director, Cindy Cavette, describes her small but mighty force who work hard to provide all the services listed here below. INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE

The I & A employee can provide seniors with current information on opportunities and services available within the community and can help them get access to these resources. Please call for an appointment though drop-ins are welcome!

OUTREACH

Some seniors may struggle to get into our office and may benefit from a home visit. Please contact our office if you are someone who needs a Home-Delivered Meal, information about services or assistance in gaining access to needed services.

This valuable service is a person-centered, interactive, decision-support process where individuals can get help in their planning to make informed long-term support choices that are individualized for their needs and lifestyle. The individual guides this process.

  • Benefit Access

  • Our office can help seniors apply online for the license plate discount.

  • Medicare Part A / Part B / Part C / Part D and Supplement

  • Information about healthcare coverage.

  • Medicare Part D / Part C Plan

  • Compare drug plans and get enrolled.

  • Prescription Assistance Programs

  • Medicaid

  • Provide information and get assistance with an application

  • LIS / Extra Help

  • (Low Income Subsidy) Get Extra Help with Medicare prescription drug costs.

  • Medicare Savings Program (MSP)

  • MSP is a state Medicaid program that can help to pay Medicare premiums, and possibly deductibles, and coinsurance for Medicare beneficiaries (elderly or disabled) who quality.

  • SNAP Benefits

  • Get information about nutrition assistance and help with the application.

  • Homestead Exemption

  • We can assist senior to complete the application so that property tax can be reduced.
