Center for Disease Control

One of the most up to date education resources is with the Center for Disease Control National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP) The CDC works to help older adults remain healthy, active, and independent as long as possible.Almost any topic of interest or concern is there in easy to read articles. Often there are pictures to explain the topic as well!

American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society is a national not for profit organization that leads research to prevent and treat cancer. 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. If you’ve been recently diagnosed, or know someone who has, we’re here with answers, guidance, and support.

Health in Aging

HealthinAging.org is a trusted source for up-to-date information and advice on health and aging, created by the American Geriatrics Society’s Health in Aging Foundation. The Health in Aging Foundation is committed to helping older adults and caregivers maintain health, independence, and quality of life. HealthinAging.org features education materials for older adults and caregivers, as well as information on finding a geriatrics healthcare professional in your area. These tools have been reviewed by geriatrics healthcare professionals and members of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS)—a community of experts in the care we all need as we age.

Justice in Aging

Justice in Aging is a national organization that uses the power of law to fight senior poverty by securing access to affordable health care, economic security, and the courts for older adults with limited resources. Since 1972, we’ve focused our efforts primarily on those who have been marginalized and excluded from justice such as women, people of color, LGBTQ individuals, and people with limited English proficiency.
